This class develops a practice of connecting to God through visual arts. Using prayerful visualizations as a catalyst, participants are encouraged to experiment with materials and create work as a form of artful contemplation.
All levels are welcome. No prior art experience is necessary to join. You are welcome to bring your own materials or use what is available in the art studio.
The basic structure is as follows:
9:15- Welcome and collect materials
9:20- Opening Prayer
9:25- 10:20- Work time
10:20- Clean Up
Newcomers are encouraged to join.
This years Formation Class will have specific workshops once a month taught by Marea Haslett and Open Studio times the remaining Sundays each month.
Sept. 8- Creative Art Journaling
Oct. 6- Color and Value
Nov. 3- Plein Air (weather permitting)
Dec. 8 Figure
Jan. 5- Lenten Meditation
Feb. 2- Portrait and Hands
March 1-Art during Lent
Apr. 5- Art during Lent
May 3- Creative Art Journaling
